My dear colleagues,

I am pleased to extend an invitation to you on behalf of the International Society of Ocular Trauma (ISOT) to its IX Symposium which will be held for the first time in South America, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 24 to 26 June, 2010.

I hope that you can come to my country and enjoy an atmosphere of dialog, conferences, exchange of ideas, social activities, and so on, with the presence of renowned expert guests from all over the world that will participate in the scientific program.

It is worth reminding you that this event will take place together with the First International Meeting of Ocular Traumatology, which exalts the event. Furthermore, there will be different activities that have been planned for the ophthalmological societies that will participate from all around the world. I will also be very pleased to welcome them.

In addition to these events, the Pan-American Ocular Trauma Symposium and the European Vitreoretinal Society (EVRS) Symposium will also be held on the same date.

I appreciate the effort made by the local organizing committee and by the Argentine Society of Ocular Trauma to carry out this event. It would have been impossible to do it without their diligence.

I hope that you have a wonderful time in our country and that you can enjoy the scientific program as well as the beauty of our city.
